I'm almost healthy again!! Not completely, but definitely feeling a ton better. Which means Kville needs to get rowdy tonight. We currently have grace for the women's away game which is nice. I don't remember ever getting grace for that last year. But I'm not complaining. So in a few hours we will all be heading to Kville to bring the fun back to tenting because lets be real, tenting is a mess right now.
So, this week Tuck and Craig might be forced to drop. With pledging and classes and work, tenting just doesn't fit into their schedules anymore. Which means it is extra hard on the rest of us. This week has been stressful and difficult to schedule. Danielle and I are sick and Tuck and Craig can never sleep out. Nobody's fault but just frustrating. Also, the weather last night did a number on our tent. Apparently people woke up pretty wet from the storm and the tent caved in a few times. Lets just hope it can last 4 more weeks. Good thing we have tomorrows game to make everything better though :) Tomorrow at noon Duke will be playing St. Johns in Cameron. And of course I will be front row, stomach painted, cheerin wildly like I do best. I am sooooo pumped for tomorrow. St. Johns is always a close game and now we have the opportunity to whoop their butts in Cameron. Especially after that depressing loss the other night to FSU in Cameron. It's time to get redemption babbyyy. Everyone better be there loud and proud!!
See you in Cameron folkss

New Jerseys
I'm just going to be blunt. The new jerseys look gross. Duke is not gray. I say stick with the white and blue. No black or gray. That is just my opinion though. Granted, I might change my mind when I see the boys actually playing in them.
Anyways, I have been obnoxiously sick this whole week and it is driving me crazy. All I want to do is curl up in my warm bed (not the freezing tent) and watch my girly shows: The Bachelor, The Ringer and Revenge. Not happening. Instead I am overwhelmed with schoolwork, tenting, scheduling, priorities and life. Blahhhh. I feel like I am constantly doing something. I just want a break, is that too much to ask? I guess that is every college students problem though. School, friends, food, tenting they all take priority to sleep. Rough life. However, when I take a moment to think about my blessings and all of the opportunities available to me I begin to feel better. As Jack Morris would say, I need a DAM to take place: Duke Appreciation Moment. Those are the best cure for the soul.
So that is the reason I have not been on my blogging game this year. However, blue tenting has started and as soon as I feel healthy again I will surely be back on my game. Sebash will be loose and ready to gooo. I cannot wait for that day. But until then I will suffer in my school work, tenting and tissues.
Game time! Duke v Maryland! Go devils go!!

Sad Day
Hey guys,
Sorry I haven't been blogging much lately. I am sick with a sinus infection and it sucks really bad. It's never good to get sick the first week of tenting. Now I have 5 more weeks to go with this sickness blahhh. Well, as we all know last night the game against FSU SUCKEDDD! We don't lose in Cameron. How is that even possible?! By a freakin buzzer beater ahhhh. It was definitely a great game to watch and very intense all the way through, but completely unexpected. Not once did I think we would lose that game. I mean, as soon as Austin made that lay up I was sure we had won. FSU had reached their buzzer beatin quota for the night. That banked 3 at the last second of the first half was insane enough, they didn't have to do it again. Roughhhh. Not gonna lie, I cried a little. But so did Austin Rivers, so at least we cried together. All in all it was very upsetting for everyone. So upsetting that the line monitors were gracious enough to give us the entire night off from Kville to facilitate the sadness we were all currently experiencing. That was a very gracious move on their part. So it turned out they ended black tenting a night early. Wooo! So tonight starts blue tenting and more and more tents are being put up as I speak. It's pretty exciting. It's also wonderful that two nights in a row I can sleep in my bed and try to fight this sickness. As much as I love the tent, it's pretty miserable when you are as sick as I am. I was even too sick to cheer my loudest and give it my all at the game yesterday. A part of me feels as if I am to blame for the lost because I did not give my 100% last night. Being front row is a commitment that requires energy and hardwork. I was lacking that last night. But, what's done is done. Time to move on. I also went to the womens game today and sat with my grandpa in his courtside seats. It was against Maryland and man was it an awesome game. Duke won in the end and that is ALWAYS a good thing.
I also forgot to mention the Nike commercial that was filmed in Kville yesterday. The Nike crew came to film a commercial and most of tent L were the stars! They also used the inside of our tent as the featured one in the commercial wooo! Bernard played the hipster asian blogger and it was hilarious. They filmed him blogging inside the tent. Little did they know that I am the true blogger of the group. I was even too sick to get into the commercial thing. As exciting as that sounds I had no energy to participate. I went in and meet with the stylist and for some reason he dressed me as the belly shirt girl. Not trying to be the belly shirt girl in the commercial hahaha. I walked in looking gross and sick and the first thing he says is "let me see your stomach". Word must have gotten out that I'm always painted up for the games. So I guess he approved of my stomach because he then proceeded to dress me in a teeny tiny nike duke shirt that he rolled and tied up and had me paint a Duke D on my lower stomach. So after waiting an hour to be filmed as the belly shirt girl I said screw this I need a nap and left to go get my medicine. This past weekend just hasn't been my greatest. But things can only go up from here! I'm excited with what this week has in store for me :)

Day 3. Sam and Julie's Sex Tape (for you Eric)
Today was superrrrr windy. I thought we were all going to die. I was unpleasantly awoken this morning with the understanding that a tornado was taking place outside of our tent because the tarp and tent were blowing like crazyy!! All is well though and today turned out to be a beautiful and warm January day. Last night was also surprisingly HOT. That never happens in Kville and I actually took my socks, pants and sweatshirts off in my sleeping bag and I was still sweating. CRAZY. I'm not complaining though. We are actually in the tent right now and it is about 1 am. Very comfortably warm that I don't even need to sleep in a sleeping bag! Wooo! I'm actually sleeping in a fancy dress and Jin is in his fancy suit because we went to his Ksig semi formal dinner for rush tonight at the Washington Duke and had to book it back to Kville to be here by 11. Lame though because we rushed for no reason. There hasn't been a check yet tonight. We were hoping a tent check would be called early and then we would have ran to our rooms and changed and got our homework. The one and only night I want a tent check and they don't even call one! So now unfortunately I am sleeping in my pretty lacy (extremely short) dress. It's going to suck in the morning when I have to walk back in my dress and heels. Tenting walk of shame. But dinner was worth it and I had an awesome time with Jin and his friends and the food was delicious! Can't go wrong with the Wa Duke. Tonight has also been a perfect tent bonding night. We haven't had grace so we have all been stuck in the tent together singing and bonding all night long. However, after belting songs as loud as we could for over an hour another tent came over and complained and made us shut up ruining all the fun. But atleast it allowed me to get a lot of homework done and blog about the tent. Mission accomplished. Tomorrow will be an interesting day in the tent because we have to replace 2 guys who have rush events. They will be missed tomorrow night. It is bed time for me. A bunch of the other guys just ordered Dominoes but I am still stuffed from the two appetizers, salad, filet mignon, and pasta that Jin and I decided to order. Fatties. Goodnight all.

Day 2. MLK Day
Last night was rough. First night back as a second year tent doesn't mean things are gonna be any easier. It was freeezing. Low of 23 I believe. I did not sleep well. IM gym which is where we usually go to the bathroom during the night, was locked last night. At 4:30 in the morning I woke up freezing and shaking and having the strongest urge to pee I've ever felt. I won't lie, I contemplated wetting my sleeping bag, but thankfully decided against it. I asked Jin to come to the bathroom with me, but in his deep sleep he said "Oh well" and rolled away from me. Rude. So I had to layer up and head all the way back to Craven. Thankfully I live on west campus this year making life so much easier. If I still lived on east I definitely would have been poppin a squat in the bushes. Wondering around campus at 4:30 am by yourself is a tiny bit scary. Good thing I'm brave. Also, strangest thing happened: when I woke up there were 2 cop cars in front of our tent and campus police wondering through Kville. I found out this morning that apparently the administration was pissed that so many drinking games took place in Kville last night and many beer pong tables were left set up all through the night so they sent police to assess the situation. So first night and tent 8 already got in trouble by the line monitors for leaving the cups and table out in the open. Oopsieee.
Anyways, today we successfully built the base and set up our tent. Sleeping on wood above the ground tonight is going to make things 100 times easier. Our tent looks beautiful and we even used Bud Light bottles to support part of the base. So crafty. Lets just hope and pray that this sucker can last for another 6 weeks. Tonight should not be as cold as last night but it says a high of 28 degrees. Still not ideal. Did I mention that I caught a cold 2 days before tenting even started! What in the world was I thinking!! Now I most likely won't be able to get healthy until tenting season ends. Lameeee. Don't worry mom, I am layering up, taking a ton of vitamins (I am serious) and taking my medicine everyday. I wish you were here to take care of me though. Tomorrow starts the first day of tenting where we actually have classes to go to. I have spent a lot of today planning tomorrows schedule. Should be interesting with everyone's crazy schedules and rush events. Oh well. We will make it work. That is what I love about Tent 8. We always make things happen :)

anddddddddd WERE BACK.
Hello followers!
It has been a long whileee. But boy are we glad to be back. So lets recap the recent news of tenting:
Today (which was technically yesterday but its 2 in the morning so its actually tomorrow) was the first day of black tenting for the UNC game which is on March 3rd. Organizing tenting this year was a bit more difficult, but of course we made it happen. I can always count on my friends :) shout out to my new tent matessss: Danielle, Christy, Katie, Marley, Craig, Harry and Tuck. Welcome to tent 8. And I am excited for another amazing few weeks with Jin, Kyle, Eric and Bernard. You guys rock.
Can't wait for the FSU game today! Duke is going to kill it and it's going to be great. Finally finished our tent yesterday. We had palettes then a layer of plywood and on top of that, a tarp. the platform supports our tent and AHAHAHAHAH THIS IS WHAT I TYPED
So the tent we are living in is unfortunately not the Gigatent. I'll admit I dropped the ball when I decided to order the Walmart tent and ditched teh Gigatent. The dimensions of this tent may claim to be bigger, but our hearts are always with the Gigatent. May you Rest In Peace.
This year the rules imply that for black tenting all 12 tent members are required to sleep out every night for the first week. Squeezing all 12 of us in this tent is a mess! Yet we love each other enough to make it happen. We spent the day today setting up the tent and building the base. Didn't finish the base. LAMEEE. But we have had a great night reuniting in Kville. The best part is there is no class tomorrow! Thank you Martin Luther King Jr. You da mannnn. So tonight it began. We all came out and had our first tent check at 11:30. Beer pong has been the nonstop hit of the night and the excitement for what is to come is felt by everyone. I am super excited for this season and I am so thrilled to be blogging again. Love you all and keep following to be updated on Kville this year. I will post pictures tomorrow but I am cold now andwant to snuggle up with Lamby! Goodnightttt
